Agreement
By booking an appointment or purchasing a treatment or gift voucher with Stevie Cosmetic Makeup, clients agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
These terms apply to consultations, treatments, booking fees, appointments, gift vouchers, complimentary treatments, promotional offers and competition prizes provided by Stevie Cosmetic Makeup.
Section 01
Booking Fees & Payments
- A £20 booking fee is required to secure a consultation appointment.
- A £50 booking fee is required when booking directly for a treatment.
- Both booking fees are redeemable against the final treatment cost.
- Booking fees secure the allocated appointment and are subject to the cancellation and non-attendance conditions outlined below.
- The remaining treatment balance is payable in accordance with the payment arrangements confirmed at booking.
- Treatment prices may be updated from time to time. Price changes will not affect confirmed bookings where a price has already been agreed, unless expressly agreed with the client.
Section 02
Cancellations, Rescheduling & Non-Attendance
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Where less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, or a client fails to attend an appointment, Stevie Cosmetic Makeup reserves the right to retain the booking fee as a reasonable contribution towards losses arising from the reserved appointment.
- Any amount retained will be fair and proportionate, taking account of costs saved and whether the appointment can reasonably be filled.
- Where at least 24 hours’ notice is provided, the booking fee may be transferred to a rearranged appointment. Any request for a refund will be considered in accordance with the original booking agreement and applicable consumer rights.
- Clients arriving late may have their appointment shortened, rearranged or cancelled where insufficient time remains to complete the procedure safely and professionally.
- Where Stevie Cosmetic Makeup cancels an appointment, the client will be offered a suitable alternative or a refund of payments relating to the cancelled service.
- These cancellation conditions do not override any statutory cancellation rights that may apply to bookings made online, by telephone or away from the business premises.
Section 03
Consultations & treatment suitability
- All treatments are subject to consultation, assessment and confirmation of suitability.
- Stevie Cosmetic Makeup reserves the right to refuse, postpone or discontinue a procedure where treatment is considered unsuitable, unsafe or contrary to professional judgement.
- Clients must provide accurate and complete information during consultation and notify the practitioner of any relevant changes before treatment.
- Booking an appointment does not guarantee that a particular treatment can or will be carried out.
- Where treatment cannot proceed, any payments already made will be handled fairly in accordance with the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.
- Treatment-specific risks, contraindications, consent and aftercare requirements are addressed through the relevant consultation and consent documentation.
Section 04
Permanent Makeup & treatment results
- Permanent makeup and micropigmentation results vary between individuals. The final healed appearance, pigment retention, colour, definition and longevity cannot be guaranteed.
- Treatment outcomes may be influenced by individual skin characteristics, healing responses, previous procedures, lifestyle, aftercare and other factors outside the practitioner’s reasonable control.
- Pigment may heal lighter, darker, warmer, cooler or less evenly than its appearance immediately following treatment.
- Some clients may experience limited or poor pigment retention despite the treatment being carried out with reasonable care and skill.
- An individual healing response, reduced pigment retention or a result that differs from a client’s personal expectations does not automatically establish that treatment has been performed incorrectly.
- Additional sessions may be necessary to achieve or maintain a desired cosmetic result. Unless expressly included in the original treatment price or required as a statutory remedy, additional sessions are chargeable.
- Stevie Cosmetic Makeup does not guarantee that further treatment will achieve a particular outcome or that every client will be suitable for additional procedures.
- Nothing in this section excludes liability where treatment has not been performed with reasonable care and skill.
Section 05
Design, Symmetry & client approval
- Where applicable, the proposed treatment shape, positioning and design will be discussed with the client before treatment.
- Clients will be given the opportunity to review and approve the proposed design before the procedure begins.
- Natural facial asymmetry, skin characteristics and anatomical differences may affect the final appearance. Perfect symmetry cannot be guaranteed.
- Where a client approves the proposed design, subsequent requests for alterations based solely on a change of personal preference may incur additional charges.
- Client approval does not remove Stevie Cosmetic Makeup’s responsibility to perform the agreed procedure with reasonable care and skill.
Section 06
Permanent Makeup Touch-Ups & additional sessions
- Where a complimentary perfecting or touch-up appointment is included in the initial treatment price, the applicable appointment period will be confirmed at booking.
- The standard included PMU perfecting appointment is intended to take place approximately 5–8 weeks after the initial treatment, subject to adequate healing and clinical suitability.
- Clients are responsible for arranging their included touch-up appointment within the agreed treatment period.
- Failure to attend or cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a reasonable rebooking charge.
- Complimentary touch-ups are intended to refine the original procedure and do not guarantee a particular degree of pigment retention or cosmetic outcome.
- Additional sessions beyond those expressly included in the treatment price are chargeable unless required as a remedy under applicable consumer law.
- Stevie Cosmetic Makeup reserves the right to decline additional pigment implantation where further treatment is considered unsafe, unsuitable or unlikely to provide a beneficial result.
Section 07
Previous Permanent Makeup & corrective work
- Clients must disclose any existing permanent makeup or previous cosmetic tattooing before booking.
- Existing pigment, scarring, previous colour changes or alterations to the skin may affect the suitability and achievable outcome of further treatment.
- Corrective work and treatments performed over existing pigment may require additional sessions and may have limitations that cannot be fully predicted.
- No guarantee is made that previous permanent makeup can be completely concealed, corrected or restored to a particular appearance.
- Any additional corrective procedures will be chargeable unless expressly included in the agreed treatment price or required by law.
Section 08
Colour Boosts & maintenance
- Permanent makeup may fade or change in colour and definition over time.
- Colour boosts and maintenance procedures are separate chargeable treatments unless expressly included in the original treatment package.
- Maintenance prices will be confirmed before booking and may depend on the condition of the existing permanent makeup and the work required.
- Where substantial correction, reshaping or additional work is required, the treatment may be priced differently from a standard colour boost. Any additional cost will be explained before treatment.
- A colour boost does not guarantee complete restoration of the original pigment colour, shape or appearance.
Section 09
Anti-Wrinkle treatments
- Anti-wrinkle injectable treatments are subject to appropriate medical assessment, prescribing requirements, clinical suitability and informed consent.
- Treatment results vary between individuals, and no guarantee is made regarding the degree of wrinkle reduction, muscle relaxation, facial symmetry or duration of the treatment effect.
- Individual response may vary due to muscle activity, anatomy, previous treatments and biological factors. (edited)
- A result that differs from a client’s personal expectations does not automatically indicate that the treatment was performed incorrectly.
- Any review appointment, adjustment or additional treatment will be subject to clinical assessment and the arrangements communicated before treatment.
- Additional treatment is not automatically provided free of charge solely because a client requests a stronger effect or further cosmetic improvement.
- Further treatment may be declined where it is considered clinically inappropriate or unsafe.
- All treatment-related concerns will be assessed individually, and nothing in these terms limits the client’s statutory rights or the practitioner’s professional responsibilities.
Section 10
Aftercare & client responsibilities
- Clients will receive aftercare information relevant to their treatment.
- Clients are responsible for following reasonable aftercare instructions and notifying Stevie Cosmetic Makeup of any concerns.
- Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect healing, pigment retention or the final cosmetic outcome.
- Where additional treatment is required because of factors attributable to a client’s failure to follow reasonable aftercare instructions, further treatment may be chargeable.
- Unexpected reactions or complications should be reported promptly, and appropriate medical assistance should be sought where necessary.
Section 11
Refunds, Complaints & treatment outcomes
- All treatments will be provided with reasonable care and skill in accordance with applicable professional standards.
- Cosmetic and aesthetic treatments involve individual biological responses, and satisfaction with the final appearance may be subjective.
- A refund or complimentary additional treatment is not automatically due solely because a client experiences limited pigment retention, an unexpected biological response or a result that differs from personal expectations, provided the agreed service was performed with reasonable care and skill.
- Clients are encouraged to raise any concerns promptly so that the circumstances can be assessed.
- Where appropriate, clients may be invited to attend a review appointment before further treatment or another resolution is considered.
- Complaints will be assessed individually, taking account of the agreed service, treatment records, clinical circumstances and applicable consumer rights.
- Where a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill, clients retain their statutory rights to appropriate remedies, including repeat performance or a price reduction where legally applicable.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for negligence causing personal injury or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Section 12
Gift Vouchers, Complimentary Treatments & competition prizes
- All gift vouchers purchased from Stevie Cosmetic Makeup are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Complimentary treatment vouchers and promotional treatment offers are valid for 12 months from their date of issue unless different terms are expressly agreed in writing.
- All appointments must be booked and treatments completed within the applicable 12-month validity period.
- Treatments awarded through competitions, giveaways, raffles or promotional prize draws must be claimed, booked and completed within 12 months of the date the winner is notified, unless different terms were stated when the competition was advertised.
- Failure to claim or arrange a prize treatment within the specified period will result in forfeiture of the prize. No replacement treatment, cash alternative or extension will be provided, except where required by law or agreed by Stevie Cosmetic Makeup.
- Gift vouchers, complimentary treatments and competition prizes are subject to appointment availability and treatment suitability.
- Gift vouchers, complimentary offers and competition prizes cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
- Once the applicable validity period has expired, unused vouchers, complimentary treatments and competition prizes will ordinarily lapse and will not be extended or refunded, subject to applicable consumer rights.
- Where Stevie Cosmetic Makeup cancels an appointment or is unable to provide reasonable appointment availability within the validity period, appropriate arrangements will be made to honour the original entitlement.
- These conditions do not remove any statutory rights or override the terms of an agreed remedy for a previous treatment or complaint.
Section 13
Client Records, Photographs & UK GDPR
- Stevie Cosmetic Makeup processes and stores client information, consultation records and treatment photographs in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the business’s Privacy Policy.
- Treatment records and photographs may be retained where appropriate for clinical, legal, insurance and professional purposes.
- Where a client has provided separate, valid consent for photographs or videos to be used for promotional, educational or marketing purposes, Stevie Cosmetic Makeup may use those materials within the scope of that consent.
- Clients may withdraw consent for processing based on consent in accordance with UK GDPR. Withdrawal does not retrospectively invalidate processing carried out lawfully before withdrawal.
Section 14
Children, Guests & appointment conduct
- Children and young people under the age of 18 are not permitted in treatment rooms.
- Clients are requested to attend appointments alone unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.
- Stevie Cosmetic Makeup reserves the right to refuse or discontinue an appointment where behaviour is abusive, threatening or presents a genuine health or safety concern.
- Any charges arising from an appointment being discontinued will be considered fairly and proportionately according to the circumstances.
Section 15
Changes to terms & conditions
- Stevie Cosmetic Makeup reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
- The terms applicable to an existing booking will ordinarily be those communicated or made available before the booking was confirmed.
- Material changes affecting an existing booking will not be imposed retrospectively without an appropriate lawful basis or the client’s agreement.
Section 16
Statutory Rights & Governing Law
- Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or overrides any rights provided under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
- Where any provision is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply insofar as legally permitted.
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
